How to wash and care
How to wash and care
Washing
Normally, we recommend washing your duvet covers, sheets, and pillowcases at least once a week. If you suffer from excessive sweating in your sleep, or you live in a hot climate area, or your pets like sharing the bed with you or you ever eat in bed, we recommend washing your bed linen more often. Use the machine wash or hand wash up to 104 F (40 C) degrees, gentle cycle to help them retain their color and strength, and avoid shrinkage. Do not bleach. Want to get white linen sheets white again using harm-free methods? Read our blog post HERE.
Drying
Air dry is recommended as the best option for your linens. If drying in your machine, use tumble dry low and mild settings to minimize damage. Lightly iron, if necessary, with a low heat setting to dry them up and avoid getting them wrinkled. Easier to iron while damp.
Airing
To give your sheets airing, hang them on the clothesline, if available. You can also fresh up your sheets leaving them hanging outside at least an hour before making your bed. After this, your sheets, duvet covers, and pillow shams will feel softer and smoother.
Storage
Keep your dried linens folded in a cool, dry place. This will help them all last longer and will make your rest feel that much sweeter and more enjoyable.
Develop a regular care routine for your bedding and you're sure to rest easier.

Why linen flax is good for you
-
Durable and strong
Linen is known to be the world’s strongest natural fiber. Not only is linen thicker than cotton, but it is also 30% stronger than cotton, which makes the linen bed sheets being more durable and last a lot longer.
-
Softens after each wash
Though, high-quality cotton is inevitably softer than linen, especially within the first six months of purchase, high-quality linen becomes softer and more absorbent after each wash without losing its durability.
-
Highly breathable
Linen is a natural insulator. It has natural heat and moisture-wicking properties that make linen a good conductor of warmth and a popular fabric to use for clothing or bedding in the summer.
-
Hypoallergenic
Because linen is a natural fiber (so is cotton too) it is hypoallergenic, meaning that it is great for people who suffer from allergies or have sensitive skin, so they won’t need to worry about having an allergic reaction when touching the fabric or sleeping on it.
